Dental school is great for free stuff. A few weeks ago we had a vendor fair where all these companies basically loaded your bag with toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste, pens, notepads, and other odds and ends. We get "goodie bags" in our mail boxes filled with toothpaste and toothbrushes. I was thinking that I will never have to by another toothbrush as long as I live. (and i've already given molly on down new toothbrushes). Well today my thinking was confirmed when the entire first year dental class recieved an $120 electric toothbrush made by Oral B. I guess eventually I will have to buyreplacement attachments for it but thats ok with me because this toothbrush rocks! I tried it out, as soon as there was enough charge to the battery, o my gosh my teeth feel amazing!! I can't believe I waited so long to get an electric toothbrush. I love free stuff!!
Next year I think we get a sonicare, which is another super amazing electric toothbrush. I love dental school (well this week anyways).

the only reason they're giving you free stuff is so you think dental school is ok like you do now, and then they're going to make it suck really bad, and just when you feel like quitting they'll give you more free stuff and lure you back in...can you get me a free electric toothbrush?
can i also get on the wait list for the electric toothbrush?
well next year we get a sonicare but i don't think we get anymore free ones after that. i think we get a discount on all crest stuff. and if you two ever get married then you'd only need one toothbrush cause you can change the head on it. thats what me and josh are gonna do.
We have had our sonicare for over 6 months and love it. We have 3 heads - Todd, Chris and I all use the same handle. We got it off ebay for a really good price.
It's weird at work we don't get free stuff. Funny thing that the bank doesn't give out free money (It would be nice if they did. Can you see Todd come home with a goodie bag - 'hey honey we had another bank fair today and we all got goodie bags. Look at the stocks and bonds and fresh new money in this one !!)
Dreams are great aren't they? I do occasionally get free things last week I got this weird plastic heart and when you push a button it blinks. You are supposed to wear it walking since it can be seen 1/2 a mile away. Who has time to go out for a walk? And why give anyone a 1/2 a mile to decide to hit you for the 10 points or miss you.
I figured they gave it to us so that we can keep seeing 9+ patients and be seen while we are working at night.
